Hi, I’m Jane
My aim is to inspire you to cook more, with recipes that deliver on flavour and look great, whatever your skill level.
I relish creating tasty recipes that combine storecupboard ingredients with interesting and seasonal produce that we all can find without too much stress. I want them to be properly useful for life, be it a Monday night pasta or a showstopping cake for a celebration.
After spending six years on the team at BBC Good Food magazine, this ‘being helpful’ thing became sort of ingrained. I’ve since made four step-by-step cookbooks with Phaidon press, and created hundreds of recipes for the UK’s best-loved food magazines and brands including BBC Good Food, Waitrose, Waitrose Food, Jamie, bbc.com/food and The Guardian. All my recipes are tested and written by me, in my own kitchen.
Outside of all this, I’m a mum, enthusiastic but terrible gardener, pub quiz team member and new wave Women’s Institute founder, fond of heavy music and strong tea, preferably at the same time.
